Our Farm
Siskiyou Evergreens was officially born in the fall of 2024, with the planting of our first 2500 seedlings at our farm in Ashland, Oregon. We expect to open our doors (and fields!) to the local community for choose-and-cut Christmas trees in 2030.
We take great pride in growing premium-quality Christmas trees using sustainable and organic practices, eliminating the use of pesticides and emphasizing long-term soil productivity on our farm.
We began offering a beautiful selection of evergreen products during the holiday season of 2024, made by hand from local, wild-harvested boughs. The response from of the local community was incredible, and as such, we expect to expand our holiday evergreen offerings in 2025 - look for our products in local stores, community fundraisers, and holiday events at the farm next year!
Our People
I’m Hunter Stanke, the owner and farm manager at Siskiyou Evergreens. While our farm was established in 2024, my dream of owning and operating a Christmas tree farm began in childhood, stemming from a tradition of choosing and cutting a family Christmas tree at a local farm.
In high school I planted my first 500 Christmas trees in my grandmother’s field in SW Michigan, and made annual returns to prune, shape, and care for these trees as I moved away to study and work in forestry. I owe much of my skill and love for growing Christmas trees to those few acres, which now yield beautiful trees to friends and family each year and have created space for new family traditions. Namely the annual cart & tree pulling by Phoebe, my sister’s Newfoundland pup!
Siskiyou Evergreens is the next chapter in my journey as a Christmas tree farmer. I hope to offer the same opportunity for family traditions that I had as a child. There is truly no time like Christmas, and no substitute for choosing and cutting your own sustainably-grown tree.
